Job summary

Eka Robotics is seeking a Forward Deployed Robotics Engineer to serve as the primary on-site technical expert for robotic manipulation systems. You will support deployments, optimize field bring-up, and drive diagnostics with strong communication across teams.

You will travel 50%+ to lead on-site deployments, demonstrations, and customer support, leveraging hands-on hardware/software integration skills and diagnostic scripting.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis on integrated hardware-software systems.
• Experience parsing logs and writing diagnostic scripts in Python.
• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical/firmware/software interactions in robotics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for solo customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Deployment and Bring-Up of robotic arms, grippers, and cameras on-site, including calibration.
• Triage fleet tickets and diagnose failures across hardware, software, and ops layers.
• On-site diagnostics and root-cause analysis to reproduce field failures.
• Telemetry and data analysis from sensors and logs to validate hypotheses.
• Collaborate with hardware and software R&D to improve tooling and diagnostics.
• Create standard procedures, flowcharts, and guides for field deployments.
• Document deployment procedures and maintain logs for field changes and escalations.
• Travel 50%+ to lead deployments, demos, and customer support.
