Job summary

Reach Robotics, an Australian robotics company, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to own the Americas region from our San Diego presence. You will engage with customers, translate their needs into robotic solutions, and collaborate with global teams to push opportunities from discovery to close.

As the sole US-based team member, you will act as the main contact for customers in North, Central and South America, driving relationships, trials and proposals with autonomy and close alignment to

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of technical sales, business development or customer-facing engineering experience.
• Background from US Navy or broader military experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate independently and be the US-based primary representative for the Americas.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the Americas and occasionally internationally.
• Engineering background or qualification in mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical/Software is valued.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing sales opportunities across the Americas.
• Building relationships with customers across defense, maritime, subsea, robotics and other advanced technology markets.
• Translating customer requirements into practical robotic solutions.
• Conducting customer meetings, product demonstrations, trials and technical discussions.
• Preparing and supporting proposals, quotations and technical responses.
• Representing Reach Robotics at industry events, conferences and customer demonstrations.
