Job summary

Agile Robots SE is expanding its US sales-enabled engineering team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on becoming the technical reference for customers, shaping how the Franka platform is adopted, and contributing to open-source repositories.

You will collaborate with sales teams and account managers, deliver proof-of-concept demos, and drive integration of hardware, software interfaces, and ecosystem components. Fluency in English and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in applications engineering, solutions engineering, pre-sales, or robotics development.
• Strong programming skills in C++.
• Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS 2 and robot manipulators.
• Experience with 3D manufacturing/robotics simulation and virtual commissioning.
• Ability to build demos quickly and present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with GitHub and open-source contributions.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and events.

Responsibilities

• Sales & account support: act as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle - qualifying opportunities, answering technical questions, and helping to scope and deliver technical closure.
• Customer consulting: visit customers on-site and remotely to consult on technical solutions, assess requirements, and recommend the right hardware/software combinations.
• Proof of concepts: design, build, and demonstrate proof-of-concept applications validating customer use cases.
• Simulation-driven solution design: build and present simulation models of customer applications using robotics simulators to validate concepts before hardware deployment.
• Hackathons & events: plan and support hackathons, workshops, trade shows, and technical demos with on-site coaching and demos.
• Software development & open source: program customer-facing solutions and integration tools; publish and contribute code to open-source repositories (libfranka, franka_ros2).
• Feedback loop: channel customer requirements back to Product Management and R&D in Munich.
• Enablement: create demos, documentation, tutorials, and training material for customers and partners.
