Job summary

Tutor is seeking a Robotics Maintenance & Field Service Technician II/III to own preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of advanced robotic systems at customer sites across the Western U.S., anchored in California's Inland Empire. The role is field-based, with substantial travel (~75%), and emphasizes ownership and proactive problem solving.

You will serve as the regional escalation point for the West Coast, mentoring junior techs and coordinating with customers to keep fleets

Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for robotics and automation.
• Hands‑on experience with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, and related systems.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation; use diagnostic tools.
• Documentation discipline logging work and following SOPs in the field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced robotic systems at customer sites.
• Own preventative maintenance and repairs across a defined territory.
• Act as regional escalation point for the West Coast and mentor junior techs.
• Travel up to ~75% to deploy and support fleets nationwide.
