Job summary

Formic is seeking a Robotics Field Service Engineer to be the front line of technical ownership across deployed robotic cells. You will diagnose failures, restore production, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and represent Formic at customer facilities.

This hourly role offers hands-on work in uptime-critical environments with high travel. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and safety compliance are essential; ideal candidates have 3+ years in field service and experience with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on field service experience in robotics or industrial automation.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and restore robotic systems to production.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robotic cells.
• Log service activity and updates in CMMS systems.
• Coordinate field scheduling with customers and internal teams.
• Document root cause analysis and follow-up actions clearly.
