Job summary

Formic is seeking a Robotics Field Service Technician to join our Fleet Operations team. You will perform preventive maintenance, execute repairs, and represent Formic at customer sites in uptime-critical environments.

This hands-on role requires disciplined execution of procedures, clear documentation, and strong safety compliance. You will travel to customer facilities, support operators, log activity in CMMS, and help improve fleet reliability and performance.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on field service or maintenance experience with robotic or industrial automation systems.
Solid troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
Experience using CMMS platforms to track and report maintenance activity.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells.
Perform directed corrective maintenance and repairs as assigned by engineering or senior technicians.
Respond to on-site service calls and follow structured troubleshooting steps.
Provide hands-on technical support to customer operators and maintenance teams.
Log service activity and spare part requirements in CMMS systems.
Coordinate day-to-day logistics with customers and internal stakeholders.
Monitor system performance and report anomalies to engineering.
Document service work and follow-up actions clearly.
