Job summary
Symbotic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support automated micro-fulfillment and material handling systems in live customer environments. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across robotic, conveyor, and automation platforms.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
- Hands-on experience with automated systems in warehouse/manufacturing environments.
- Experience diagnosing PLCs, HMIs, conveyors, robotics, and automation hardware.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, alarms, and reliability trends at client sites.
- Lead root-cause investigations using structured methods (e.g., 8D).
- Serve as escalation point for complex equipment, controls and software.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Systems Engineering teams to implement fixes.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for PLCs, robotics, conveyors and controls.
- Develop reliability-improvement initiatives to boost uptime.
- Support customer communications during major events or disruptions.
- Review maintenance data to identify continuous-improvement opportunities.
- Mentor technicians and support field training across the network.
- Assist with site launches, upgrades, and process improvements.
