Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Field Service Technician to support automated micro-fulfillment systems in live customer environments. You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, motors, sensors, and conveyors, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and work closely with customers to maximize system uptime.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to travel regionally (30–40%) within the US and North America.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting automated systems in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling environments.
• Experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment and reading electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on automated systems including robotic bots, conveyors, lifts, motors, sensors, and material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems, electrical circuits, control panels, HMIs, and electro-mechanical components in live production environments.
• Respond to equipment faults and operational disruptions by diagnosing and resolving failures to restore system functionality and minimize downtime.
