Formic Technologies is seeking a Robotics Field Service Technician to join the Fleet Operations team. You will perform preventive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells, execute directed repairs, and provide on-site support at customer facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on field service or maintenance experience with robotic or industrial automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic drawings.
• Experience using CMMS platforms to track maintenance activity.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells using established checklists.
• Perform directed corrective maintenance and repairs as assigned by engineering or senior technicians.
• Respond to on-site service calls and escalate unresolved issues to engineering.
• Provide hands-on technical support to customer operators and maintenance teams.
• Log service activity, asset updates, and spare part requirements in CMMS.
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance and report anomalies to engineering.
• Document service work and follow-up actions clearly.
• Flag recurring issues to engineering for further investigation.
• Build professional relationships with plant managers and site personnel.
• Operate with strict safety standards including LOTO and compliance.
• Support RCA sessions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
