Job summary

Amazon’s RDPI Technology Deployment team seeks a Systems Engineer to oversee large-scale deployment of robotics across North America’s fulfillment network. You will lead on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical and networked systems while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Expect substantial travel (up to 75%), relocation to Boston or Seattle may be required, and collaboration with hardware, software, safety, and operations teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems and strong analytical skills with effective communication.
• 1+ years’ experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models (mechanical and electrical).
• 1+ years' experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems.
• Understanding of data collection, reporting processes, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest to work in construction or warehouse environments in a field-based role.
• Ability to travel domestically 75% or more of the year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and deployment of robotics equipment with an on-site team.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and customers.
• Demonstrate initiative to solve problems during deployments.
• Guide installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of robotic systems, on site and remotely.
• Manage project scheduling and budget.
