Job summary

Amazon Robotics RDPI is hiring a Systems Engineer II to oversee large-scale deployment, installation, and go-live of industrial automation across North America. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage site activities, and travel up to 75% or more to meet project goals.

Relocation to Amazon Corporate offices in Seattle, Boston, or Austin may be required. The role emphasizes on-site leadership, deployment execution, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced robotics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or STEM field.
• 5+ years troubleshooting robotics systems or similar complex electro-mechanical systems.
• 5+ years deployment, retrofit or maintenance of large-scale industrial robotics.
• 5+ years experience with project management and deployment documents.
• 3+ years in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and network infrastructure.
• Willingness to travel 75%+ domestically.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple deployments of a single technology across sites and lead multi-technology deployments.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and go-live to meet target dates with on-site leadership.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, PMs, product managers, and internal customers to refine deployment docs.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical assessments.
