Job summary

Amazon Robotics RDPI is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer to lead the deployment of industrial automation across North America stores. You will oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of robotics and packaging technologies, guiding teams and coordinating with hardware, software, and operations partners.

The role requires hands-on engineering in electro-mechanical and networked systems, strong problem solving, and frequent travel up to 75%+ to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, warehouse or similar environments.
• 1+ years' experience with technical drawings/CAD and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel domestically 75% or more.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.
• Develop knowledge of robotic systems operation and guide commissioning/remediation on site and remotely.
• Manage technical ambiguity around work cell integrations in fulfillment centers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, TPMs, PMs, and internal customers including site maintenance and operations.
• Travel to project sites to align stakeholders on program status, virtually or in person.
• Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management.
• Drive continuous improvement across projects and implement new work-scopes.
• Lead teams of engineers on projects and coordinate hardware/software deployment.
• Travel to live warehouses and construction sites with significant scope and travel.
