Job summary

Amazon RDPI is seeking a Systems Engineer I to lead on-site deployment of robotics and automation across North America stores. You will manage large-scale installations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and travel extensively to project sites up to 75% or more.

The role requires a technical background in mechanical/electrical systems, CAD reading, and the ability to resolve issues in real time. You will also mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement throughout deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience with technical drawings or CAD models (mechanical/electrical).
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, IT networked or software systems.
• Ability to read technical docs and resolve on-site issues.
• Willingness to travel extensively across US and possibly internationally.
• Proficient with standard office software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation of robotics equipment in fulfillment centers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and operations.
• Travel to project sites and manage project status with stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budgets.
• Develop execution documents (schedules, SOPs, dependencies).
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
• Ensure go-live dates are met for assigned projects.
