Job summary

Amazon's RDPI Technology Deployment team is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer II to lead end-to-end deployments of industrial automation across North America stores networks. You will plan, install, and launch robotics systems, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet go-live targets.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with electro-mechanical and networked systems, travel up to 75% nationally, and strong project management with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field.
• 5+ years experience troubleshooting robotics systems or other complex mechanical-electrical or networked systems.
• 5+ years experience in project management for deployment, retrofits or maintenance of large-scale industrial robotics.
• 5+ years experience using project management and supply management tools including BOMs, deployment work instructions, and project task management.
• 3+ years experience working in or around construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with PLCs, SCADA, and network infrastructure.
• Ability to travel domestically 75% or more of the year.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple deployments of a single technology across sites or oversee multi-technology deployments.
• Lead on-site project management for installation and go-live.
• Coordinate with hardware engineering, product managers, and internal customers to refine deployment plans.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• Resolve difficult technical problems during deployment, balancing time, quality and resources.
