Job summary

Amazon’s Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovation (RDPI) team is hiring a Systems Engineer to oversee installation, integration and launch of automated systems across North America stores.

You will lead on-site deployments, coordinate with engineering, product and operations teams, and travel extensively to project sites to ensure milestones are met and solutions operate reliably in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with data analysis to inform decisions.
• Experience reading CAD models and working with electrical/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.
• Develop detailed knowledge of robotic systems and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting on site and remotely.
• Manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program managers, product managers, and internal customers including site maintenance and operations teams.
• Travel to project sites and collaborate both virtually and in person to ensure all business stakeholders are aligned on program status.
• Manage day to day project scheduling and budget management.
• Work on continuous improvement activities to improve the projects in your space.
• Lead teams of other engineers on projects.
• Travel to live warehouses and new construction sites, with scopes varying in length and high travel.
• Travel to project sites across North America, upwards of 75%.
