Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain robotic systems and electric bicycles as part of the Service Operations team. This role requires 100% in-office presence in Fremont, CA, San Jose, CA, or Sunnyvale, CA, with training in Fremont.

You will perform standard service tasks, troubleshoot faults, and collaborate with senior technicians to develop advanced skills. A valid driver's license and experience in fleet or vehicle service are a major plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of service work experience.
• Curiosity and an inclination for mechanical repair.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Prior experience in vehicle, bicycle, or fleet service is a plus.
• Experience with JIRA, MaintainX, or similar service tools is a plus.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and intermediate Service Technician tasks with growing independence.
• Repair faults in robotic platforms, e-bikes, and support vehicles using procedures.
• Assist with complex faults alongside senior technicians to learn diagnostics.
• Complete repairs on electrical systems, control units, and batteries.
• Document diagnostic steps and repairs in the service management system.
• Learn from experienced technicians and apply feedback to multiple vehicle types.
