Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a senior service technician to diagnose and repair complex robotic systems and fleet vehicles. You will mentor Level 2 technicians, interpret technical manuals, and document processes in our service management system.

This on-site role requires 100% in-office work in Fremont, CA, San Jose, CA, or Sunnyvale, CA with rotating AM/PM shifts and two weeks' notice before permanent reassignments. A strong focus on safety, reliability, and uptime is essential.

Qualifications

Two+ years in service work or similar hands-on repair roles.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication and thorough documentation skills.
Experience with vehicles/fleets, robotics, or aircraft is a plus.
Experience with service tooling (JIRA, MaintainX) is advantageous.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and MVR clearances.

Responsibilities

Diagnose complex faults in robotic systems, components, and support vehicles.
Perform advanced repairs and component-level troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
Interpret manuals, schematics, and flowcharts to guide troubleshooting.
Document diagnostic steps, root causes, and repair actions in the service system.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Level 2 Technicians.
Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
Calibrate, configure, and maintain diagnostic tools and equipment.
