Job summary

DoorDash Labs in California is seeking a Senior Service Technician to join the Service Operations team on-site. You will diagnose, repair, and support robotic systems and fleet vehicles to maximize uptime and utilization, reporting to the Associate Operations Manager in Fremont, San Jose, or Sunnyvale.

This role requires 2+ years of service experience, strong mechanical aptitude, excellent documentation, and familiarity with service tools like JIRA and MaintainX.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service work experience.
• Curiosity and inclination for mechanical repair.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in vehicle or fleet service, robotics, or aircraft is a plus.
• Experience with JIRA, MaintainX, and other service tools is a plus.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and MVR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex faults in robotic systems and fleet vehicles.
• Perform advanced repairs including component-level troubleshooting.
• Interpret manuals, schematics and diagnostics to guide repairs.
• Document diagnostic processes, root-cause hypotheses and repair steps.
• Provide guidance to Level 2 Technicians and mentor teammates.
• Manage workload independently and prioritize tasks.
• Calibrate and maintain diagnostic tools and test equipment.
