Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Account Manager/Outside Sales to build a territory, grow earnings, and develop repeat business with existing accounts while opening new opportunities.

You will use handheld technology to manage customer inventories and sell new products, engaging engineers, maintenance and purchasing teams with a consultative approach to understand applications and needs. The role is on-site with strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of business-to-business sales experience or developing new business
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
• Familiarity with industrial products is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build a territory and grow earnings by developing repeat business in existing accounts and opening new opportunities.
• Use handheld technology to manage customers' inventory and sell new products.
• Call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and others using a consultative selling approach to learn applications and needs.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and negotiate terms; close transactions.
