Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Account Manager/Outside Sales for the Baltimore, MD area. You will build a territory, grow earnings, and develop repeat business with existing accounts while opening new opportunities using a consultative selling approach.

You will call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and others to learn applications, manage inventory with handheld tech, and close transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum, 1 year business to business sales experience.
• Knowledge of industrial products a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current customers while prospecting new opportunities.
• Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions.
• Conduct product demonstrations for customers and prospects.
• Complete reports on itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads and other related data.
