Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Roadway/Utility Superintendent for day and night operations in the Raleigh, NC area. You will lead roadway and underground utility crews on DOT projects, coordinating schedules, safety, and field documentation to ensure on-time completion.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy civil roadway or underground utility experience, DOT project background, and the ability to read plans. Relocation to the Triangle area is welcome for the right fit.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience; night work a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs and maintain accurate quantities.
• Strong knowledge of work zone traffic control and paving sequencing.
• Ready to work day or night shifts as the job needs.
• Valid driver’s license; NCDOT project experience a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification a plus; HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and manage shifts to meet the project schedule.
• Own site safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Coordinate with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
