Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent in Raleigh, NC. You will manage day and night field crews on highway and utility projects, coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries while ensuring safety and compliance on every shift.

You should have 5+ years of heavy civil roadway/underground utility superintendent or senior foreman experience, DOT project exposure, and the ability to read plans and specs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plus.
• Able to read plans and specs and track quantities accurately.
• Willing to work day or night shifts and hold the project schedule shift- to- shift.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and maintain the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own site safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Collaborate with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
