Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector in Dublin, GA to perform construction engineering and inspection on roadway and bridge projects, ensuring compliance with contract plans, specs, and standards.

The role involves field inspections, material verification, meticulous documentation, and collaboration with project engineers and managers across resurfacing, safety improvements, and bridge rehabilitation activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18–36 months of transportation technician or construction inspection experience with a state highway agency or consulting firm.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, transportation, or heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods, equipment, and inspection procedures.
• GDOT certifications or ability to obtain required certifications within specified time frames.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and overall construction quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, culverts, and backfill operations.
• Monitor and inspect traffic control devices and erosion and sediment control measures.
• Conduct field measurements and calculations for pay quantities and maintain accurate contract documentation.
• Prepare reports, maintain inspection records, and document project activities and findings.
• Supervise or provide directions to inspectors performing routine inspection activities as assigned.
