Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector in Dublin, GA to perform construction engineering and inspection on roadway and bridge projects.

You will verify materials, inspect workmanship, maintain records, and support project engineers through the construction process. Responsibilities include independent inspections, plan/spec reviews, reporting findings, and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18–36 months of progressive transportation inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Certification tests: GDOT Group 1 & 2, WECS, Field Concrete Technician, GSWCC Level 1a as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and overall construction quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, structural steel, concrete placement, culverts, and backfill operations.
• Monitor and inspect traffic control devices and erosion and sediment control measures.
• Conduct field measurements and calculations for pay quantities and maintain accurate contract documentation and project records.
• Prepare reports, maintain inspection records, and document project activities and findings.
• Supervise or provide directions to inspectors performing routine inspection activities, as assigned.
• Participate in project meetings, field plan reviews, CPM schedule reviews, and project closeout activities.
