Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group in Denver seeks a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist stranded motorists with jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and tow vehicles when needed. You will drive a service vehicle, assess safety, and provide excellent customer service while working independently on the road.

This field-based role requires flexibility for evenings/weekends, DOT compliance, pre/post-trip inspections, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
• Must pass drug screening, MVR review, background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Comfort with GPS, tablets, and mobile applications.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Read/interpret roadside service procedures and member benefits.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests using tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services (tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing/installations, jump starts, lockout help).
• Safely tow disabled vehicles per procedures.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections; report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Use tablets to manage calls and update service requests.
• Document daily activities, service calls, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and driving record.
• Meet goals for member satisfaction, safety, and productivity.
• Support community and AAA events as needed.
