Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech (Flatbed) to provide safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members. Respond to calls, assist with minor mechanical needs, and tow vehicles if necessary, maintaining a focus on member satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting.
• Active and valid driver’s license
• DOT card (pre-hire and within 1 year)
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record check during pre-hire and periodically thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Accepts calls and responds to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination.
• Provides minor mechanical assistance and towing as needed, following safety procedures.
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in safe working order and ensures proper documentation.
• Promotes AAA products and services and refers calls to appropriate technicians.
• Works independently across a 24/7 operation and adapts to shift coverage.
• Safely secures vehicles and protects member safety during service.
