Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech Flatbed to deliver safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for members in a tow or flatbed vehicle. You will respond to service requests within ETA, educate members on potential issues, provide jump starts, tire changes and minor mechanical help as needed.

Responsibilities include towing when needed, promoting AAA services, and maintaining a professional image.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 21 years of age
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity of electrical troubleshooting required
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction required
• DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 year required
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment

Responsibilities

• Accepts calls and responds to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination and assesses safety on arrival
• Provides minor mechanical assistance and towing service following safety procedures
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in good working order and follows safety procedures
• Promotes AAA products and services and educates members on battery replacement service
• Works independently across shifts and adapts to 24/7 operation
• Locates securing points and responds to changing vehicle dynamics to prevent damage
