Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech Flatbed to provide safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members in a tow or flatbed vehicle. You respond to member requests within ETA, ensure safety, educate members on issues, provide jump starts, tire changes, minor mechanical assistance, and arrange towing when needed.

The compensation includes $24.00-$27.00 per hour, with bonuses and incentives; overnight, evening, and weekend differentials; 24/7 shift coverage; comprehensive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 21 years of age required.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting required.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction required.
• DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 year required.
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Accepts calls and responds to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination and greets members to take action.
• Provides minor mechanical assistance and towing service following safety procedures.
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in good condition and follows safety procedures.
• Promotes AAA products and services and educates members on available offerings.
• Works independently and can cover a 24/7 operation.
• Locates ideal securing points and manages vehicle dynamics in tow situations.
