Job summary

AAA Northeast is hiring a Roadside Service Tech Flatbed to deliver safe, best-in-class roadside assistance for AAA members. You will respond within ETA windows, provide basic mechanical support, and tow vehicles when needed, while promoting AAA products and preserving member trust.

A strong safety focus and professional image are essential. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, DOT pre-hire, and automotive/mechanical troubleshooting training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active and valid driver’s license required.
• DOT card pre-hire and within 1 year required.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting required.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 shift pattern and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Accepts calls and responds to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination.
• Locates members and assesses safety upon arrival.
• Provides minor mechanical assistance and towing as needed following safety procedures.
• Tows vehicles to repair facilities per Club policies and manufacturer guidelines when required.
• Educates members on AAA products and services; promotes offerings.
• Operates MDC computer to update calls and processes payments; handles cash/credit accurately.
