Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech Flatbed to provide safe, top-tier roadside assistance for members. You will respond within ETA, perform minor mechanical work, and, if needed, tow vehicles to repair facilities or destinations while promoting AAA products.

Roles involve shift flexibility, on-scene safety assessments, and maintaining vehicle readiness. Benefits include bonuses and comprehensive health plans; annual company incentives apply for qualifying roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting required.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by one state or jurisdiction required.
• DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 year required.
• Satisfactorily pass motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member requests with ETA and locate members on scene.
• Provide safe, minor mechanical assistance and towing as needed following safety procedures.
• Maintain service vehicle and equipment in safe, working order and manage inventory of tools and products.
• Educate members on AAA products and services; coordinate with Dispatch to get members to destinations.
• Work independently in a 24/7 operation and adapt to different shifts and conditions.
• Ensure safety of members and vehicle securing points and manage changing vehicle dynamics.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
