Job summary

The Auto Club Group (ACG) in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside assistance calls, assist motorists with jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts, and safely tow vehicles when needed. You’ll work independently on the road and use tablets to manage service requests, reports, and procedures.

You will complete DOT inspections, maintain a professional vehicle, and uphold safety and excellent member service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass drug screening, MVR, background check and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Comfortable using GPS, tablets and mobile apps.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow roadside service procedures.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Must complete AAA training programs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• If employed in Illinois, require Illinois C-NonCDL license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside requests with a tow or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services: tire changes, fuel delivery, jump starts, lockout assistance.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following procedures.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Use tablets to manage calls and update service requests.
• Document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and driving record.
• Meet goals for member satisfaction, safety, and productivity.
• Support AAA events as needed.
