Job summary

The Auto Club Group in Columbia, SC is hiring a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist motorists with jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts, and tow vehicles when needed. You will work on-site, operate a service vehicle, and uphold safety and high-quality member service.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Must pass drug screen, MVR, background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Familiarity with GPS, tablets, and electronic apps.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services (tire changes, fuel, battery tests/installation, jump starts, lockouts).
• Tow disabled vehicles following procedures and guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent customer service.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections; document activity and logs.
