Job summary

The Auto Club Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist motorists with jumps, tire changes, and lockouts, and tow vehicles when needed. This on-site role emphasizes safety, problem solving, and customer service while you work on the road using tablets to document service requests.

You will need a valid driver's license, be able to pass DOT checks, and maintain a professional driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to pass drug screen, background checks, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional communication.
• Ability to operate independently in field conditions.
• Familiarity with GPS and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside requests using tow vehicle or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency services: tire changes, fuel delivery, battery work, jump starts, lockouts, minor repairs.
• Tow disabled vehicles following procedures and safety guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent service.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, professional service vehicle and document activities.
• Utilize tablets to manage calls and service records.
• Maintain DOT certification and driving record.
