Job summary

The Auto Club Group in Chicago is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to answer roadside calls, assist stranded motorists with jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and safe towing.

You will work on the road, use tablets to manage requests, complete DOT inspections, maintain a clean vehicle, and uphold safety and customer service standards. We offer training, sign-on bonuses, and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Must pass drug screening, MVR, background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Able to work independently in the field, with safe driving.
• Comfort using GPS and mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests using a tow or service vehicle.
• Provide services such as tire changes, battery testing/installation, jump starts, and lockouts.
• Safely tow vehicles following procedures and maintain logs.
• Verify membership and deliver outstanding service.
• Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle and document activities.
• Utilize tablets to manage calls and update requests.
• Maintain DOT certification and driving record.
