Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician to deliver safe and world-class roadside battery services for AAA members. You will respond to member requests, test and install batteries, and provide diagnostic support in the field.

The role requires automotive tech training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered, with incentives and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• At least 21 years of age or older.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by a single state or jurisdiction.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics; familiarity with electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a minimum DOT card pre-hire.
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to member requests for service.
• Provide safe and best-in-class roadside service solutions.
• Perform battery testing, maintenance, and replacement on-site.
• Provide jump starts, tire changes, and other roadside assistance.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in good order and document van activity.
