Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Tech to provide on-the-go roadside battery support for members, including diagnostics, testing, jump starts, and battery replacements. You will educate customers on battery care and the AAA program while maintaining vehicle readiness and safety on every call.

Role requires valid driver's license, 21+ years old, and post-secondary automotive training. Evening/weekend shifts and differentials apply; benefits include medical, 401(k), and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Active and valid driver's license issued by only one state or jurisdiction required.
• DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee required.
• Satisfactorily pass motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to member requests for service and provides roadside assistance.
• Performs battery testing, jump starts, and battery replacement as needed.
• Greets members and explains battery program benefits and recommendations.
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in safe working order and adheres to safety procedures.
• Operates computer to record activity, invoicing, and inventory.
