Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician in Peabody, MA. You will respond to member requests, perform diagnostics on vehicle electrical systems, and provide battery testing and on-site installations.

The role requires a valid driver's license, DOT readiness, and a customer‑focused approach to ensure safety and satisfaction. The position offers pay from $23.50–$26.45 per hour, with shift differentials and annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• At least 21 years of age required.
• Active driver's license and ability to obtain DOT card before hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member’s request for service.
• Accept calls and respond to dispatch or members with ETA to destination.
• Locate members and assess safety of scene on arrival.
• Greets members and helps calm anxious customers.
• Explain battery program benefits and test results to the member.
• Report results of diagnostic testing and provide referrals.
• Maintain service vehicle and equipment in safe working order.
• Perform battery testing and on‑spot installation when needed.
• Operate laptop to record activity, invoicing, and inventories.
• Certify operation of a Battery Service Vehicle via training.
• Other duties as assigned.
