Job summary

AAA Northeast in Millbury, MA seeks a Battery Service Technician to support and promote AAA battery programs, delivering safe, world-class roadside service to members. You will test and replace batteries, diagnose issues, and provide on-the-go support while ensuring positive member experiences with the Battery Service Vehicle.

The role requires high school GED, a valid driver's license, and DOT pre-hire credentials, with an emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School GED or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics preferred.
• Active and valid driver’s license required (single state).
• DOT card pre-hire and ongoing eligibility required.
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member requests for service with a clear ETA and on arrival assess safety of the scene.
• Provide battery services including testing, jump starts, battery replacement, and related diagnostics.
• Explain battery program benefits and recommend appropriate battery type to members.
• Maintain service vehicle readiness and ensure proper inventory of batteries and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and club policies; escalate for towing when needed.
