Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician to provide world-class roadside battery service to members. You will respond to service requests, assess scenes for safety, communicate battery needs, and perform testing and on-the-spot battery replacement when needed.

You will operate diagnostic equipment, maintain the vehicle, and ensure high standards of service and member satisfaction. Shift patterns include evenings and weekends with differential pay.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• DOT card pre-hire and maintained during employment.
• Motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to Members request for service.
• Accepts calls and provides ETA and clarifications to members.
• Assesses safety of the scene on arrival.
• Greets members and manages emotional state.
• Communicates battery program details clearly to members.
• Reports results of diagnostic testing and provides repair referrals.
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in safe working order.
• Performs battery testing and on-the-spot battery replacements when needed.
• Operates laptop to record activity, invoicing, and inventory.
• Inspects and maintains appearance and condition of the vehicle.
