Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician to provide on-the-go roadside battery service for members. You will respond to requests, test and replace batteries, and educate members on the Battery program while maintaining vehicle readiness and safety.

The role requires a GED, a valid driver's license, DOT pre-hire compliance, and a willingness to work a Sunday-Thursday shift with potential incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School GED or equivalent required.
• Active and valid driver’s license in one state or jurisdiction.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DOT card pre-hire and as employee.
• Motor vehicle record check required during pre-hire and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member requests for service with ETA; clarify location and issue.
• Assess safety of the scene on arrival and position vehicle for safe service.
• Educate members on battery testing and program benefits; recommend battery type.
• Perform battery testing, boost, and on-the-spot battery installation when needed.
• Maintain service vehicle and inventory; complete recording and invoicing.
• Follow safety procedures and club policies; assist with towing if required.
