Job summary

MediLodge Cheboygan is seeking a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor (RN) to direct the operation of a nursing unit in our long-term care facility. You will lead staff, oversee patient care, manage staffing and regulatory compliance, and partner with physicians to ensure timely interventions.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited school of nursing; degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) (if state requires)
• Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, including one year in long‑term care.

Responsibilities

• Hire, discipline, and evaluate staff.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manage unit to achieve high-quality care.
• Develop and evaluate nursing staff education programs.
• Coordinate with physicians for timely interventions.
• Review staffing patterns and census; reassign staff to meet needs and budget.
• Monitor clinical operations and ensure safe, quality care.
• Ensure medications, supplies, and records are available.
• Orient new personnel and supervise procedures.
• Participate in the facility QA program.
