Job summary

MediLodge of Gaylord, a premier long-term care and rehabilitation provider, seeks a Unit Manager Registered Nurse to direct the nursing unit’s daily operations. You will oversee staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role requires an RN license with CPR certification and at least three years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN (state) and CPR certification.
• Three years of nursing experience, at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of the nursing unit.
• Plan and facilitate staffing and meet resident care needs within budget.
• Lead meetings and committees on resident care issues.
• Develop, implement and evaluate nursing staff education and continuing education.
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely interventions.
• Monitor clinical operations and ensure safe, quality care.
• Participate in QA programs and staff orientation.
