Responsibilities

• Performs general management functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating staff.
• Plans and facilitates meetings to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manages unit operations to achieve high-quality resident care within budgets.
• Collaborates to recruit, retain, and develop nursing staff through education programs.
• Coordinates with physicians to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
• Monitors staffing patterns and census to align with resident needs and budget.
• Oversees clinical operations and ensures safe, effective resident care.
• Obtains medications, supplies, and records needed for ongoing care.
• Supports orientation and mentorship of new personnel.
• Participates in QA programs and other assigned tasks.
