Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; degree preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current license.
• Three years of nursing experience, at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Hires, disciplines, and evaluates nursing staff.
• Plans and facilitates unit meetings addressing resident care issues.
• Manages unit to achieve high-quality care.
• Develops and evaluates programs for staff recruitment, retention and education.
• Contacts physicians for timely and appropriate interventions.
• Reviews staffing and census to meet resident needs and budget.
• Monitors clinical operations and resident conditions.
• Obtains medications, supplies and records for safe care.
• Assists orientation of new personnel and supervises skills.
• Participates in facility QA program.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
