Job summary

Laurels of Kent in Lowell, MI is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead the daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring safe, resident-centered care in accordance with regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment (Michigan).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute settings.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory/management role preferred.
• Working knowledge of nursing practice, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs/STNAs.
• Executes supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws.
• Interviews, hires, trains staff and plans workflow.
• Manages assignments, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
