Job summary

Laurels of Kent in Michigan seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to oversee resident care on assigned shifts, assess plans, and coordinate with a care team to ensure safety and quality. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, and ensure care plans are implemented with accountability.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR within 90 days, and 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where employed.
• Experience supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
• Strong assessment and care planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
