The Laurels of Kent is hiring an RN Unit Manager to lead the daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, resident-centered care in line with regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute setting.
• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role preferred.
• Working knowledge of nursing practice, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants/State Tested Nursing Assistants.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, recommends hires and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs workflow.
• Prepares performance evaluations and wage adjustments; schedules breaks and handles employee relations.
