Job summary

MediLodge of Capital Area in Lansing, MI seeks a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor to lead an entire nursing unit in a long-term care facility. You will oversee staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and collaborate with physicians to deliver coordinated services.

The role requires RN licensure, a nursing degree or higher, and prior long-term care experience. Benefit options include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in long-term care.
• RN license (state requirements apply)
• CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, disciplining and evaluating staff.
• Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manage unit staffing within budget to meet resident needs.
• Coordinate recruitment, retention, development and education of nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians and ensure timely interventions.
• Review staffing patterns and census and reassign personnel as needed.
• Monitor clinical operations and quality of care.
• Obtain medications, supplies and records for safe, effective care.
• Assist in orientation of new personnel and supervise procedures.
• Participate in QA programs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
