Job summary

Regency at Westland is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Manager to lead daily operations on an assigned nursing unit in a on-site Westland, MI facility. You will ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centered care and mentor nursing staff within regulatory guidelines.

The role requires supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, with a focus on staff development, workflow planning, and adherence to policies. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute setting.
• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role preferred.
• Working knowledge of nursing practice, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs and CNAs/STNAs.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, hires, trains staff and plans workflow.
• Receives calls and arranges replacements for absent staff.
• Prepares evaluations and manages performance and wage considerations.
• Manages staff schedules and breaks; handles complaints and discipline.
