Job summary

MediLodge of Campus Area in East Lansing, MI is seeking a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor (RN) to direct the nursing unit in a long-term care facility. You will oversee staffing, quality of care, and regulatory compliance to ensure residents receive compassionate, safe, and person-centered services.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, a nursing degree, at least three years of nursing experience including long-term care, and strong leadership, communication, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) (if state requires).
• Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, including one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the nursing unit operations and staffing.
• Discipline, hire, and evaluate employees as needed.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues.
• Ensure high quality, safe and patient-centered care.
• Promote recruitment, retention, and continuing education of staff.
• Coordinate physician interventions and care planning.
• Monitor staffing, census, and budgetary controls.
• Oversee medications, supplies, and medical records.
